Tzvi
was born in Johannesburg in 1984. He spent his school years at Torah Academy
Primary and High Schools and then went on to study at yeshivot in Melbourne,
New York and Bnei Berak for a further six years.
While in New York he also spent two years studying Chazanut at the Belz Music School at Yeshiva University. He is currently studying at the Eugenie Chopin Music School and also training with Evelyn Green. He has conducted services on the High Holidays for the past eight years, at congregations in California, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. Since his return to South Africa in 2007, he has served as the Chazzan of the Greenside Shul. He is a young, enthusiastic and vibrant person who enjoys watching sports and being with people. He currently runs his own business as a property manager. Tzvi assumed the position of Chazzan at the Oxford Synagogue in August 2011. |
